Richie Kaminski

AKA The Drummeriser

Richie first got his taste for playing drums @ 10 yrs. old, when he would wait for his older brother Eddie,
a drummer himself, to leave the house so he could sit behind his set of Rogers drums & play. Richie would
play along to his favorite tunes on records & tapes until his brother returned and pulled back in the driveway. He would jump from behind the drums, quickly shut everything down & run back in the house & hope Eddie
would never know he played them. Finding broken sticks & cracked drum heads when he would go into the drum room, well let's just say you didn't have to be Kojack to figure this one out. After a couple of years of his mom
having him play for relatives every time they would come by. to songs like Indian Lake by the Cowsills & the 
Dave Clark Five, Richie realized this could be a lot of fun! Growing up during the 70's dance scene, he would
listen to groups like The Average White Band, James Brown, Earth Wind & Fire & Tower of Power, then    Rick James, Narada Michael Walden & lets not forget Foghat, Journey, Pat Travers & Van Halen.  
     After a short stint with a local rock band, his longtime friend Billy Cento playing keyboards with a dance band "NASTY" who were looking for a drummer, introduced him to them. He knew then that drumming was for him. the band played some gigs from the Hamptons to New York city, then went on the road doing the East Coast circuit, from Buffalo to Florida.  
    After a little over a year straight on the road, he left the band after finishing a few shows in Ohio. He then
came back home & played with a few local bands doing clubs & weddings then took a leave from music. Loving
sports all his life, he played semi-pro football for a couple of seasons with a team out of Brooklyn. Then got into his custom Harley Fatboy for a few years. Feeling the bug again some 8 years later, he found the group Buttered Soul looking for someone to fill the chair. Thinking it was a good time to bring some Funk Filled Fun back 
into his life, he met with the band & they're now on the way diggin every minute of it. Looking forward to seeing all of you music lovers come out & have a good time with "BUTTERED SOUL"
